Read the judges comments:

It is always a thrill to be invited to judge any photographic competition, or exhibition. I feel flattered to be asked, and regard the commitment as a big responsibility, and a serious challenge. Although my own personal photography is primarily of the landscape, and people, on location, I admire and enjoy all aspects of photography, and take great pleasure from looking at other people's work.

Most judges undertake their task for one simple reason - to see great pictures. To discover the gems among the less accomplished is always a thrill for me, and I love the anticipation, and elation, when a great image hits the screen.

I drove down to Kent to judge this Jubilee Projected Image Competition with good expectations, aware that so many fine Kentish photographers will probably have their images within the overall submission. I was not disappointed, - the standard was high, and the marking and subsequent award process resulted in much personal thought, angst, concentration, and consideration before a final decision was made.

I extend my thanks to Neville Marsh and the Ashford PS team for their efficiency and hospitality, and to you, the photographers, for giving me so much to enjoy and appreciate.
